Dear Parents, Students, and Well-wishers,

Education is the most powerful instrument of social transformation. While technology has connected classrooms globally, we must ask: while our knowledge has grown, has our humanity grown with it?

Bishop Hartmann Academy has for four decades answered this by blending two timeless legacies: St. Francis of Assisi and Mahatma Gandhi. Both taught that greatness lies in serving the last, the least, and the lost. As Mahatma Gandhi said, "Be the change that you wish to see in the world."

We do not want just high scorers; we want humane citizens. Therefore, we instil these Franciscan-Gandhian values in every child:

1. Truth (Satya): Courage to be honest in thought and action.
2. Peace & Non-Violence (Ahimsa): Resolving conflicts with love, not hate.
3. Humility: Being grounded, as Francis called himself a little brother.
4. Compassion for the Poor: Preferential love for the needy.
5. Simplicity: Simple living and high thinking.
6. Self-Reliance (Swavalamban): Dignity of labour and doing one's own work.
7. Service (Seva): Joy in serving others before self.
8. Respect for All Creation: Love for nature, animals, and the environment.
9. Brotherhood & Equality: Seeing no caste, creed, or status; all are one.
10. Self-Discipline: Control over mind and actions.
11. Forgiveness: To pardon as God pardons us.
12. Cleanliness: As Gandhi said, cleanliness is next to godliness.
13. Courage: To stand for justice even when alone.
14. Joyful Optimism: To be cheerful and hopeful in all circumstances.
15. Sarvodaya - Welfare of All: Working for the good of all beings.

May we together build this value-based revolution for the welfare of humanity and for the sustenance of the cosmic reality.
